What is a GAC?

Updated: Jan 31, 2021

What is a GAC?

The answer is found in:

1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light

And also in:

2 Corinthians 5:20-21 (NIV)

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

What are the characteristics of a GAC? To simply be more like Christ:

1)  Fearless  2)  Full of compassion  3)  To have the Wisdom of Christ

What is the assignment of the GAC?

Being fearless, compassionate and wise, the GAC is to let everyone know that:

1)    God loves you.

John 3:16 (KJV)   For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

2)    God is not mad at you.

Romans 5:8 (KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us

3)     Jesus is not surprised by you.

Hebrews 4:15   (NIV)  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way,  just as we are, yet he did not sin.

4)    He desperately wants a close intimate relationship with you.

John 15:5 (KJV)   I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:  for without me ye can do nothing

This assignment is to be carried out whenever you are given the opportunity.  We are to do this without fear, with compassion and using wisdom, just as Jesus would do.  Hallelujah!

Of course in order to accomplish this you must know this for yourself.  You must not only be secure in your faith and the love God has for you but also be secure in the fact that God wants to use you.  Yes you!
