No Fear In His Love

Jesus feels your pain, knows your hurt and accepts you unconditionally. Sometimes the things we have experienced in life makes it hard to comprehend the width and the depth of the love that the Lord has for you.  His love is the cure for everything that ails you. His love is the answer for every hurt, every doubt and any insecurity you may have. The challenge is to discover and recognize His love and not to allow the cares of this world to distract us from His love. This is not an easy task. We have so many things gunning for our attention. We have problems, issues from our past and present, offense, disappointment, worry, anxiety, depression, oppression, addictions and the list goes on and on and on.


Psalm 55:1-2 NIV       Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea; hear me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught


But through it all, in spite of it all Jesus waits patiently for us to turn back to Him. He waits for us to cast our care upon Him. He can and has handled it.


Psalm 55:22 NIV       Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.


We so want to be independent and handle all this on our own. We should seek answers but the foundation for true healing is in His love. Do what you have to do but do not leave Him out. He will guide you into all truth.


Psalm 55:16-17 NIV       As for me, I call to God, and the Lord saves me. Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice.


It is a daily struggle to be the you God created you to be. There are days when you may feel worthy of the calling and days you may feel you failed Him miserably. Do you ever feel it would be easier just to be?  Easier not to expect more…that way you will never be disappointed. Easier not to want more from yourself…that way you won’t have to feel accountable. I’ve been there. I go there more times than I would care to admit but there is a burning desire inside, a desire He placed in my heart the day I met Him for myself. The day I sat on my couch and felt His unconditional love wash over me. The day I told Him I don’t think I love you like you love me. As I waited to be chastised and scolded for such a statement He did neither, He simply said “That’s okay I’ll love you enough for the both of us”.


1 John 4:18-19 NIV       There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us.


Unconditional love, that is what He has for you, no strings, no conditions…just believe it. Push away every “but” forming in your mind and just focus on His love.


1 John 4:10 NIV       This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.


It can be extremely challenging to walk in the love of Christ when you feel unloved, unlovable or less than but know that you could never be any of these to Jesus. Understand and know this to be true:


Romans 8:38-39 NIV       For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.


The Word of God so eloquently states my desire for this blog:


Ephesians 3:16-19 NIV       I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lords holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.


Be well, Be whole. And know that Jesus loves you this I know. For the Bible tells me so.
