Let Your Light Shine

Minutes before Susan Boyle (Britain's Got Talent) sang in her first audition everyone laughed at her.  But after she sang she gave everyone hope.  It’s never too late and there is nothing too hard for God when you believe.  You cannot look for external validation for the vision God puts internally in your heart.  She had to believe in what God put inside of her, in spite of what it looked like, to have the guts to get up there in front of all those naysayers.  As you get older your opportunities seem to dry up. Hope is not easy to come by. Keeping the faith is hard when you cannot see any new possibilities and none are coming your way.  You used to feel you could make things happen in life and now life just happens to you.  In the last line of the song it says “now life has killed the dream I dreamed”. Don’t let life kill your dream. Giving up on one dream without embracing a new one is not an option. Your vision is not just for you.  As Marianne Willamson said “as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same”.
