GRACE

it’s hard to watch video after video of these senseless killings, the brutal behavior of those that are to protect and serve. It’s dehumanizing and demoralizing to hear people more concerned about buildings or a symbol of freedom more than they are concerned about their brothers and sisters being slaughtered. It’s infuriating. You are tempted to quit explaining and begging for empathy. You feel like just blocking, deleting or writing people off but God said NO! You don’t get to do that. Not now.

Do not get discouraged because I am revealing evil. Now is the time to watch me work. Now is the time to go to work. Now is the time to use your voice, your way with words to explain the pain. And then as always one can choose whom to follow. As discouraging as all this can feel I am sooo encouraged by our brothers and sisters all over the world and this country that see now. When I am tempted to give up on people God always reminds me of Grace…the Grace He extends me and the Grace He gives me the strength to extend. I am reminded of a song written by a man that used to traffic slaves John Newton…

”Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound

That saved a wretch like me

I once was lost, but now am found

Was blind but now I see”…
